
Josh Le has done what most of us wouldn’t dare – not washing his jeans for 15 months…….all while wearing them! After the social/scientific experiment, one of Le’s professors took bacterial samples from the jeans before they were thrust into the washing machine and then again two weeks later. The results might just blow you mind!
The bacterial growth on both samples were almost identical! So what does identical mean? Well, both samples had high levels of bacterial growth:
If you want to get down to the nitty gritty—and we do mean nitty gritty—the counts showed between 8,000 and 10,000 colony-forming units per square centimeter in the crotch area, 1,500 to 2,500 on the back, and 1,000 to 2,000 on the front.
