You’ve probably never heard of Ting Mobile but what they’re attempting to do is simply amazing. Ting Mobile is the closest thing I’ve seen to a morally sound mobile carrier and don’t even get me started about AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile (not so much the latter two). We all have horror stories about being over-charged on our monthly bill, being data throttled and the near impossible human customer support. Here is where Ting mobile comes in!

Ting isn’t so much cheaper than the competition but what they do offer is flexibility and choice. Let me say that again: Flexibility and Choice. There are no set monthly plans – you pick the features you want (voice, data, text) and how much of each. From there, you’re on a month to month contract with no obligations – none. Sounds too good to be true. Ting is targeting the market of users that are sick of being taken advantage of – the market that wants freedom and I’m guessing those markets are growing bigger by the day.

Ting uses Sprints nation wide network, so you’ll have to check how the coverage is in your area – they have a helpful google map tool, just put in your zip code when visiting their website. While ridiculously hard to believe, Ting also offers the following:
- No overage penalties
- Credits on light months
- Multiple devices on one plan
- Great for small businesses
- No fees or limits on usage
- Free features:
- - picture/video messaging
- voicemail
- call forwarding
- three-way calling
- tethering
- hotspotting
- number porting (in or out)
- and, of course, account cancellation.
From what I’ve read and heard, Ting is what consumers have been waiting for all along and could be the first in many micro local carriers, that change the whole mobile landscape in America. Do you Ting?
