You know how we say: “It’s expensive to die.” Well, in the future, not only is it expensive but if you don’t have enough money, your actual conscienceness pays the price.
Never press RM* on a linux machine – that’s the lesson the team at Pixar learned….the hard way. During the making of Toy Story 2, someone pressed the RM* command (directory erase command) which started systematically erasing everything the team had been working on. By the time people figured out what was happening and were able to stop it – about a year’s worth of work had been erased. How did they get the movie back? Check out the video…

Now that Intel has released their new Ivy Bridge chipset, Apple is set to refresh their laptop and desktop computers and the chatter is that this will happen in June – at WWDC 2012. That should bring a smile to people that have been waiting to upgrade, especially those waiting for new iMacs as it’s been about 370+ days since the last major refresh.

There have been several historic images of Earth taken, especially NASA’s “Earth Rise” which was taken by Apollo 8 astronaut Bill Anders in 1968 but a new image taken by a Russian weather satellite may have set a new record for detail.
