You can never have too many backups and you can never have enough storage – these are two major principles in computing, especially if you’re in video production. Well, it looks like Western Digital just made a lot of people’s lives easier with their new My Book Thunderbolt Duo. While “Thunderbolt” isn’t a widely sourced standard, it will be soon (especially with data transfer rates up to 10Gp/s) as more OEMs are joining the thunderbolt party. WDC has released the My Book Duo in two flavors: A 4TB version, which will run you $599 and a 6TB version, which will cost $699. New tech is never cheap but for video professionals, this is a sacrifice that’s worth it. Get more info at WDC.
