Along with releasing new PMP’s (Galaxy S WiFi 4.0/5.0) yesterday, Samsung unveiled new Series 2,4,6 and Series 9 laptops, at their event in New York City. As you could probably tell, Sammy has something for everyone, with Series 2,4 and 6 being targeted at professionals. The specs are numerous but lets just say that they start at series 2 with Intel Celeron based processors and then climb in speed/quality (sandy Bridge i3,i5,i5) all thought Series 2,4 and 6. Screen sizes follow the same path, with the series 2 notebooks getting 12.5in displays and then climbing in size all the way to 15.6 in, with a 1600 x 900 option.
But let’s be honest, this doesn’t do anything for you! Sammy’s Series 9 is what the party’s all about. 13.3in display, Core i5-2537M processor, 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM, and Windows 7 Home Premium for $1,649. This is a MacBook Air killer – born and breed! Sammy will also be releasing a Windows 7 Professional version but we don’t really care. Stay tuned for more info and expect these notebooks to arrive at a brick and mortar store near you in April.
