New Zealand’s channel 3 was able to get this exclusive interview with Kim Dotcom – days after he was released on bail and not considered a flight risk. While Mr. Dotcom speaks eloquently throughout  the interview and countless times, claims he is a scapegoat for the industry, it will be hard for him to prove his innocence with so much ridding against him.

I will fight this all the way!

He may very-well fight this for some time, as have other companies like Google (Youtube Vs. Viacom) and it’s good that he understands that this will not go away quickly. The major downside for the moment is that other companies, offering similar features (legal services), have cut their services back severely - one such company is filesonic.

If you’ve never herd of Skitch but work with web graphics, especially sharing screenshots within your workgroup or business, you need to get Skitch. Up until now, Skitch was just an OS X app but recently it was bought by Evernote (Another Great App) and made free! So what does Skitch do: It easily allows you to edit, alter and share you screenshots with anyone – now available for the iPad and Android. Check out this video for more info:

I find myself using the desktop version of this all all day, whether it’s for this blog or for web design, it’s an extremely versatile app…..and it’s free.

Kevin Systrom, CEO of Instagram told a panel at LeWeb 2011, that he had members of his design staff working on an Android version of the popular photo sharing app. Beyond that, we heard no release dates or any other information regarding an Android specific app but there was talk about Instagram’s inroads into monetization. Thats right, the app you love so much will have some kind of advertising built in at a future point. Does this mean there won’t be a paid versions without advertising, no but it does seem like the days of a simplistic UI – free of Toyota Ads, are limited. Personally, I can’t wait for people to fall in love with taking “Non-Filtered” pictures again.

Nielsen’s has released a new survey on, as the above title states, “Smart phone Share By Race.”  This is just the Q4 of 2010 and the overall results aren’t super shocking. Overall, the stats point to a somewhat even avg. share across Whites, Hispanics and African Americans – in respect to each OS. Asian and Pacific Islanders had a much higher adoption of Apple’s iOS then the previously mentioned race/ethnic groups. Bottom line: People of all races love smart phones and they almost all feel the same way about specific mobile operating systems. Click Here to see all the results. NEXT!!
